The Sutra Stone Valley
The Stone Steps outside the Doumu Palace lead to a huge flat rock. Over 1400 years ago in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, someone carved the text of the Buddhist Diamond Sutra. Each character measures 50 centimetres in diameter. Originally there were more than 2500 and now only 1067 characters left
Tang Dynasty Stone Inscription
On the way to the Jade Emperor Peak, there stands the Grand View Peak, which consists of stone inscriptions from different dynasties, among which the Tang Dynasty Inscription of An Account of Mt. Tai written by Emperor Tang Xuanzong in 725 is most famous.
Qin Dynasty stone Inscription
Qin Dynasty Stone Inscription stands in the East Imperial Seat within Dai Temple, which is the earliest among the stone inscriptions in Mt. Tai, the tablet was carved with the inscription of Emperor Qin Shi Huang's merits and virtues and the Second Emperor's edict, copied by his Prime Minister Li Si in style of the seal character. Originally the tablet stood beside the Jade Lady Pool at the summit of Mt. Tai and was moved here later.
The Head of Five Sacred Mountains
The stone inscription of the Head of Five Sacred Mountains, carved in Qing Dynasty, is located on the way to the Jade Emperor Peak. The characters are imposing and dignified.
